Printfulness

One of the good things that this pandemic brought me is the time and excuse to develop the Printfulness methodology.

I used to work as a concept designer for youth care innovation in the Netherlands, so I know a thing or two about mental health and positive psychology. After loosing my job during lockdown, I found comfort in creativity.

So I thought these insights needed to be shared with the world.

What is Printfulness?

I came up with the term because its the mix of printmaking and mindfulness.

Mindfulness is the art of being here and now and let your head focus on your body. Printmaking is the art of transferring ink from one surface to another, and it is full of amazing metaphors from life.

I will be testing during Welcome to the Village summer festival. The idea is that people can experience the lino cut printing kit and follow the audio guided exercise to create a piece of art and print it on a card. Looking forward to learn what works and what does not work in order to keep on developing this concept further.
